Vivo and Viano remote for LCD and LED combo TVs with DVD
One remote for two badge-engineered brands
Vivo and Viano televisions came from the same company, and their remotes use the same frequency, which is why this single replacement serves both brands. It suits most Viano and Vivo LCD and LED combo televisions with a built-in DVD player, the style of set that was popular in Australian bedrooms and caravans where a separate DVD unit was not practical. Because the DVD transport controls live on the remote rather than the TV body, losing the original effectively retires the disc player. This replacement brings back both halves of the combo in one purchase, restoring volume, tuning and disc menus in one go without hunting second-hand listings for a worn original.
The exceptions worth knowing before you order
A few models sit outside the compatibility list: 32-inch and 37-inch Viano LCD televisions, 13-inch and 15-inch Vivo LCD sets, and 3D TVs are not supported by this remote. Everything else in the Viano and Vivo combo line-up is fair game. Owners of the non-combo Viano models have a separate option in the Viano TV Remote Control LTV32HD LTV47FHD LEDTV42FHD, which is matched to those specific screens. If you are unsure which camp your set falls into, the model sticker on the back panel of the television gives the designation to compare against the listings. A quick photo of that sticker also helps if you ask the store for advice.
Power requirements and buying a backup
The remote runs on two 1.5V AAA batteries, which are not included, and the package contains one TV remote control. Combo TV owners often buy a second unit at the same time, because these sets are frequently installed in caravans, sheds and holiday houses where a lost remote cannot be solved with a quick trip home; the Vivo Viano TV Remote LCD LED Combo DVD covers a straight repeat of this model. For households with a jumble of other brands around the place, the Dick Smith TV Remote Control DSE LCD LED is a catch-all worth considering alongside the exact replacement.

Frequently asked questions
Will this remote work with both my Vivo and my Viano TV?
Yes, provided they are supported models. The two brands are made by the same company and their remotes operate on the same frequency, so this one replacement suits most Viano and Vivo LCD and LED combo televisions with DVD. The exceptions are 32-inch and 37-inch Viano LCD sets, 13-inch and 15-inch Vivo LCD sets, and 3D TVs, which need different remotes.
Does this remote control the built-in DVD player too?
Yes. It is designed for Viano and Vivo combo televisions where the DVD player is built into the set, so the disc functions are part of what it replaces. That matters because combo TVs keep most DVD controls on the remote rather than on the cabinet, meaning a lost original often leaves the disc side of the TV unusable until a proper replacement arrives.
Which TVs are not compatible with this replacement?
The listing excludes 32-inch and 37-inch Viano LCD televisions, 13-inch and 15-inch Vivo LCD televisions, and 3D TVs. If your set is one of those, this remote is not the right part, and the non-combo Viano replacement may suit instead. Check the model sticker on the back of your television and compare it against the product listings before ordering.
What batteries do I need for this Vivo Viano remote?
It takes two 1.5V AAA batteries, which are not included in the package. The order includes one TV remote control only, so grab a pair of fresh AAA cells to have it running the moment it arrives. New batteries also give the infrared signal full strength, which keeps the remote responsive from across the room.
