ATA's PTX-4 Securacode transmitter has opened more Australian garage doors than almost any other remote, and this aftermarket replacement keeps those systems running when originals wear out or disappear. You receive the exact remote marked by arrows in the listing photos, together with a key ring and a battery, so programming can start the moment the envelope is opened. A downloadable manual covers pairing, and the listing even links a tutorial video (produced by AGG Doors) for anyone who prefers to watch the procedure before attempting it. For most buyers this is a like-for-like swap: the old PTX-4 died or went missing, the motor still works fine, and a compatible transmitter restores normal service for less than the cost of a call-out.
Compatibility spans the Securacode era of ATA gear: CRX-1 and CRX-2 stand-alone receivers, the SecuraLift family (GDO-2v5, GDO-2v6, GDO-2v7, GDO-7v1 and GDO-9v1), the EasyRoller range (GDO-4v3, GDO-4v4, GDO-4v5 and GDO-4v6), Slim-Drive EasyRoller units GDO-6v1 and GDO-6v2, and EasyRoller II motors GDO-8v1 and GDO-8v2. Before ordering, confirm that your original remote matches the pictured unit and that your motor's model number sits in that list. If the motor sticker has faded, the receiver type is often printed on a label inside the motor cover as well. Note the hard exclusion: PTX5 remotes and their TrioCode motors are not supported, with the ATA PTX-5V2 TrioCode 128 compatible remote covering those.
Because a lone garage remote is a single point of failure, many customers order the 2 pack of ATA PTX-4 compatible remotes and keep one programmed as a backup. Owners of newer TrioCode motors, GDO-11v1, GDO-6v3 and GDO-6v4 among them, should instead choose the ATA PTX5v1 TrioCode GDO remote 2 pack, since Securacode and TrioCode transmitters are not interchangeable. The motor head sticker tells you which family you own in seconds, and that quick check is worth making before any remote purchase, not just this one.
From its Australian base, The Remote Factory has built its whole operation around replacement remotes and key fobs, and high-turnover lines like this PTX-4 compatible unit ship within 24 hours of ordering. Standard delivery is one to five working days throughout Australia and two to eight working days to New Zealand. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Shop Pay and Apple Pay are accepted ways to pay. Every order carries a 30-day return policy, and if you want certainty before buying, send your motor model number and a photo of your remote to contact@theremotefactory.com.au for a compatibility check.
Pairing follows the standard ATA Securacode procedure, and the listing provides downloadable pairing instructions plus a link to a tutorial video created by AGG Doors for reference. In broad terms, the opener or receiver is put into learn mode and the new remote's button is pressed to store its code. The remote arrives with its battery included, so programming can happen straight away.
It pairs with ATA CRX-1 and CRX-2 receivers, SecuraLift motors GDO-2v5, GDO-2v6, GDO-2v7, GDO-7v1 and GDO-9v1, EasyRoller motors GDO-4v3 to GDO-4v6, Slim-Drive EasyRoller GDO-6v1 and GDO-6v2, and EasyRoller II GDO-8v1 and GDO-8v2. The seller asks you to check that your original remote is pictured and your motor model number is listed to ensure compatibility before purchase.
No. The listing states it is not compatible with PTX5 remotes, which belong to ATA's newer TrioCode platform. Securacode and TrioCode use different coding systems, so a PTX-4 style transmitter will never store to a TrioCode motor. If your motor sticker shows a TrioCode model such as GDO-11v1, choose a PTX5-series replacement from the store instead of this unit.
The single-unit listing includes one compatible remote, one key ring and one battery, plus access to downloadable pairing instructions. At $14.95 it is a budget-friendly way to restore or add access to a Securacode-era ATA opener, and the 30-day return policy applies if your system proves incompatible. Orders dispatch within 24 hours from the Australian warehouse.
