AN-MR20GA Magic Remote replacement for LG OLED and NanoCell TVs
Covering the MR20GA and earlier Magic Remote generations
LG's Magic Remote family spans several years of smart TVs, and this MR20GA replacement (part numbers AN-MR20GA and AKB75855501) is designed to stand in not just for its own generation but also for the 2017–2019 magic remotes AN-MR650A, AN-MR18BA and AN-MR19BA. Listed compatible sets include NanoCell models 65NANO91ANA, 75NANO91ANA and 86NANO91ANA, plus OLED screens such as OLED48CXPUB, OLED55CXAUA, OLED65BXAUA, OLED65CXAUA, OLED77BXPUA and OLED77CXAUA. The listing also names suitability across LG series including RX, ZX, WX, GX, CX, BX, W9, E9, C9, B9, SM9, SM8, SN9, SN8, UJ, UK, UM8, UM7, UN8 and UN7. That cross-generation coverage matters because LG retired earlier Magic Remote part numbers as each TV range left production.
Specifications at a glance
The remote transmits on 433 MHz, is moulded in ABS and weighs roughly 100 grams, with power from two AA batteries that are not included in the package. According to the listing, no programming or setup is required to get going. It arrives in protective PP bag packaging with a packed size of 28cm x 13.5cm — slim enough to post quickly. Voice-capable control on compatible sets is the drawcard, restoring the pointer-driven navigation LG owners tend to miss badly when the original Magic Remote fails. The pointer function is what separates the Magic line from ordinary remotes, letting you click on-screen elements like a mouse cursor instead of stepping through menus.
Where this sits among LG replacement options
Not every LG owner needs the full Magic experience. The LG AN-MR650A IR replacement remote offers button-only control without voice or the mouse pointer at a lower price, while the LG AN-MR650A voice and mouse remote retains both features for that earlier generation. Owners of other platforms are covered too — for instance the TCL RC902V FAR1 FMR2 remote serves TCL 4K and 8K smart TVs. Matching the part number from your original remote remains the most dependable selection method. When comparing variants, decide whether voice and pointer control matter to you, because the non-voice options trade those features away for a lower price.

Frequently asked questions
Which LG TVs can this Magic Remote replacement control?
Listed models include NanoCell sets 65NANO91ANA, 75NANO91ANA and 86NANO91ANA, and OLEDs such as OLED48CXAUB, OLED48CXPUB, OLED55CXAUA, OLED65BXAUA, OLED65CXAUA, OLED77BXPUA and OLED77CXAUA. The listing also covers LG series RX, ZX, WX, GX, CX, BX, W9, E9, C9, B9, SM9, SM8, SN9, SN8, UJ, UK, UM8, UM7, UN8 and UN7. Confirm your set's series before ordering.
Can it replace my older AN-MR650A or AN-MR19BA Magic Remote?
Yes. This MR20GA unit is listed as a substitute for the 2017 to 2019 generation of LG magic remotes, specifically the AN-MR650A, AN-MR18BA and AN-MR19BA, in addition to its own AN-MR20GA and AKB75855501 part numbers. That makes it a practical consolidation option when an older Magic Remote dies and the exact original is hard to source.
What batteries does the remote take and are they supplied?
It runs on two AA batteries, which are not included in the package, so have a pair on hand when it arrives. The remote itself weighs about 100 grams, is built from ABS plastic and operates on a 433 MHz frequency. Per the listing, no programming or setup is required to begin using it with a compatible LG television.
What are my options if it does not suit my TV?
The Remote Factory offers a 30-day return policy, so an incompatible remote can be returned within a month of purchase. Emailing your TV model number to contact@theremotefactory.com.au before buying is the easiest way to avoid the situation. Orders are dispatched within 24 hours, and standard delivery takes 1 to 5 working days within Australia.
